‘Forsaken’, based in Manchester, is a series I made in October 2023. It focuses on forgotten places, objects and people as well as the brutal street.

Forsaken observes orphaned objects and locations found within an urban space. By photographing them, they are no longer ignored, but have been used to make an image that I will have with me for the foreseeable future.

I created my own typeface for this project, using photographs of letters and numbers that I found on the streets in graffiti, road signs and posters. The typeface is a representation of the visual language of the street, a mix of order and chaos.
